Has anyone seen promotion for the March27/28th Joel Plaskett shows at Big White? I don’t understand it. This guy is a great Canadian artist. He opened for the Hip last time they were in town. He use to be he lead singer/songwriter for a great Candian band – Thrush Hermit. Why no promotion in Kelowna? He always sells out in Vancouver. He’s doing 2 nights at the Media Club this Fri/Saturday and they’re sell out (I have my tix for Saturday). If you’re reading this post, I strongly suggest you get a ticket. Ticket price will probably be $12 (same as what they are in Vancouver). He’s playing Raakal’s.

When someone slams Kelowna on a record I am sure that promoters arent too keen on giving him the proper promotion he deserves!! Im sure he isnt the only musician that feels that way, either the promoters in Kelowna suck or bands just dont like to play there, being an ex-pat of Kelowna, I can understand why.
